What is Mirar?

The Mirar website located at getmirar.com provides a browser toolbar known as the Mirar Toolbar which displays contextual information to its users while they surf the web. It finds webpages which are related to the webpages the users are visiting and should therefore increase their productivity on the Net.

The Mirar toolbar facilitates this by monitoring the surfing activity of its users. It sends details of website visits to its home server so that targeted advertising and contextual information can be returned to the user's PC based on whatever website they're currently visiting. This is a normal feature of browser toolbars that deliver targeted advertising and contextual information. Mirar's software may also display pop up ads prompting users to download the toolbar if it's not already installed.

Mirar provides its users with free software products in exchange for displaying advertising on their computers. These "Mirar Supported Applications" include WeatherWatch, BadPopup Blocker, RelatedPage, TimeAccurate and PandaRemover.

Remove Mirar Toolbar Instructions

If you've decided to remove Mirar then the Mirar Supported Applications must also be removed in accordance with its software license. First check to see if Mirar and its supported applications are removable by using the Windows Add/Remove Programs function. Click the 'Start' menu, then select 'Control Panel' and open the 'Add/Remove Programs' option. Find 'Mirar' and the supported applications in the list of programs, and if found click 'Change/Remove' and follow the prompts to remove them. A Mirar uninstaller is also available from the Mirar website which you should also run. This procedure should uninstall Mirar.
