Removal Guide to Uninstall Gator and GAIN-Supported Applications
If you've decided to Remove Gator, click the 'Start' menu, then select 'Control Panel' and open the 'Add/Remove Programs' utility. Find 'Gator' in the list of programs, click 'Change/Remove' and follow the prompts to uninstall Gator. Then follow the same procedure to remove Gator eWallet, Offer Companion, Precision Time and Date Manager.
Remove GAIN-supported applications using the same procedure. To find out what GAIN applications are on your PC click on the 'Windows Start button', select 'Programs', 'GAIN' and then 'About GAIN'. On the 'About GAIN' screen, click on the link titled, 'For a list of GAIN supported products...'.
What is Gator?
Gator enables you to download and use software applications for free. Gator software also helps you to fill out forms and remember passwords. GAIN (Gator Advertising Information Network) in return for their free services will show you permission based targeted advertising. Targeted advertisements are sent to you based on your historical web surfing habits or whatever site you're currently visiting. Gator software runs while ever its icon is present in the system tray, sending and receiving information from its home server and displaying advertisements. If you wish to stop receiving advertising, then you can either upgrade to the paid software where offered or remove GAIN-supported applications in accordance with the manufacturers license.
Gator Alternative
Before you remove Gator, you may like to transfer your Gator data to RoboForm, a perfect alternative to Gator. RoboForm is a free password manager and one-click web form filler, but unlike Gator it will not send you ads.

- How to Transfer Gator Data When Installing RoboForm:
- When you install RoboForm for the first time and you have Gator installed then RoboForm will automatically offer to convert Gator User Data to RoboForm. If it does not, then at the "AI RoboForm Welcome" dialog that appears after install select "I am New to RoboForm" and then select "Convert my Gator user data to RoboForm" and follow instructions.
- How to Transfer Gator Data to an Already Installed RoboForm:
- Select "RoboForm. Options", go to "User Data" tab, click "Import from Gator" button and follow instructions.
Delete Gator and any GAIN-supported applications in accordance with the manufacturers license. Please note that Gator is not classified as spyware, but if you are concerned about adware on your computer you can scan your system with STOPzilla to find out what programs are sending you ads.
